Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
By creating an account or using Embra Law, you agree to these terms. Please read them. They are written in plain English on purpose.
1. What Embra Is
Embra Law is an educational platform for law students. It provides tools for mood tracking, milestone planning, bar exam reference, case briefing, outlining, and peer mentorship.
Embra is a study and organizational tool. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not create any attorney-client relationship.
2. Who Can Use Embra
Embra is for law students enrolled at or recently graduated from ABA-accredited law schools, and for legal professionals who participate as mentors.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Do not share your account with anyone.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes all your data permanently.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.
4. Your Content
You own the content you create in Embra — your briefs, outlines, notes, and journal entries belong to you.
By using Embra, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your work.
You can export all your data at any time via Settings → Export Data.
5. AI Features
Embra includes AI-powered features (brief generation, outline suggestions, wellness summaries) powered by Anthropic's Claude API.
AI-generated content is a starting point, not a final answer. Do not submit AI-generated content as your own academic work without review and attribution where required by your institution.
Embra is not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content. Always verify legal information independently.
6. Mentor Program
Mentors on Embra are verified practicing attorneys or legal professionals who voluntarily participate.
Mentor guidance is provided informally and does not constitute legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship.
Students choose what to share with mentors. Embra enforces technical controls to limit mentor access to only the student's mentor-facing profile.
We reserve the right to remove any mentor who acts inappropriately or violates the spirit of the mentorship program.
7. What You Cannot Do
You may not use Embra to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Share another user's personal information without consent
- Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
- Use the platform for commercial purposes without our consent
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the platform
- Submit false information to obtain mentor verification
8. Wellness Features
Embra's mood tracking is a personal reflection tool only. It is not a mental health service, therapy, or crisis intervention system.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a mental health professional or crisis service immediately.
National Crisis Hotline: 988 (call or text)
9. Availability
We aim to keep Embra available at all times but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We are not responsible for any disruption to your studies caused by downtime.
We may update, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
Embra Law is provided “as is” for educational purposes. We make no warranties about the accuracy of bar exam information, milestone templates, or AI-generated content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Embra is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms as Embra evolves. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
Continued use of Embra after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
